AGAIN WE DREAM

As regular readers know, Federal Holidays mean a day off from our regular weekly health and fitness topic emails.

Today we republish last year’s tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – who exemplified courage and faith throughout his public ministry.

The general public first heard Dr. King’s famous speech on August 28, 1963, at The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.

Here is one of the most well-known excerpts from that speech:

When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet,
from every state and every city,
we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men,
Jews and Gentiles,
Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the
old Negro spiritual:
“Free at last! Free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!
