Slogans motivate us when obstacles, or a drifting, reluctant mind, interfere with health and fitness or other self-determined goals.
Before writing this post, I did not know that Merriam-Webster’s first definition of “Slogan” was 1. (a.) A war cry especially of a Scottish clan1; and (b.) (the definition I knew) – a word or phrase used to express a characteristic position or stand or a goal to be achieved.
Every year I place a Slogan on the bulletin board in my bedroom which stands out when my eyes open each morning.
These sayings are posted because I believe, as our picture in this week’s e-blog states…WORDS HAVE POWER.
My 2022 Slogan is “GET IT DONE.”
“GET IT DONE” already has proved its worth.
Late Sunday night, January 9th, a few minutes before writing this post, my Slogan helped me pass a Level 2 physical activity assessment and corrective exercise strategies exam from a company called Functional Movement Systems.
That company’s slogan is “Move Well. Move Often” …
Question for the week is…What is Your Slogan?
Go ahead and click on the Feel Free To Reply Here link at bottom of the page and share it with me.
I’ll pick a few of your favorite Slogans and inspire others with them. WF!
- Here are a few Scottish clan Slogans/mottos found on Google.
- Clan Campbell: “Forget Not” …
- Clan MacDonald: “By Sea and By Land” …
- Clan MacLeod: “Hold Fast” …
