While visiting Tacoma, Washington, this past weekend for annual convention of the Univera, Inc. natural supplements I sell, the air seemed nicely clean. Early morning sea gulls squawked their way from Puget Sound past my 10th floor hotel window.
“What makes Tacoma feel so good?” I wondered. Then it came to me – Negative Ions – those invisible particles, either molecules or atoms, which bear an electric charge. They clean the air for us. Our senses respond positively to increased concentration of negative ions that occur after a rain storm or when we are near the ocean or a waterfall.
As a coastal city San Diego has its own share of negative ions. Next time we want to feel good, let’s head for one of our beaches. Or take a stroll along San Diego’s Shelter or Harbor Islands. Afterwards we can break out the folding chair, sit and count our blessings. Bliss assured. WF!
