Thirty Years ago in 1993, the first in a series of Chicken Soup for the Soul books, by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, was published. Along the way November 12, which happens this coming Sunday, was designated as Chicken Soup For The Soul Day.
A key theme in Chicken Soup for the Soul books is PERSISTENCE in the face of delay, obstacles and denial or loss of heart’s desires.
As we enter colder months and Holiday season, which may or may not include friends and/or family, we can consume Chicken Soup for the Soul comfort by persisting in appropriate exercise, food choices and conversation which enriches our Soul.
Stay the course. Go for the brisk walk, do ten sit-to-stand chair squats, follow along with your favorite YouTube exercise leader.
Newly oxygenated circulation from physical movement automatically brightens the day.
When we feel good, we make better nutrition choices. Conversation with others takes on a more uplifted tone.
People are watching.
Our lives become their Chicken Soup for the Soul1 – inspiring them to take better care of themselves.
We can do it. One Day-at-a-Time.
For ourselves. For loved ones. Make a Chicken Soup for the Soul choice. WF!
