World Statistics Day will be celebrated around the globe on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, with the theme “Connecting the world with data we can trust”. We can put ourselves in a statistics frame of mind by clicking on the Moneyball movie trailer and tuning in to this week’s Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series championship games.
In support of our Statistician friends who research health information, we also can click on the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services statistics and health link and find numbers most useful to us.
One thing we don’t want to do is be like “the ancients” who, according to a quote by Stephen Leacock, a Canadian political scientist and humorist, “… had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies.

Anyone can register for classes through go.gymgo.com/truetomybody. We actually hold each class on Zoom. I email the Zoom log-in code to all Gymgo members on class day. We laugh, dance and have a great time wondering what tech surprise is coming next. Best Zumba® Gold rate is $3.75/per class for 8-class series = $30 prepaid. First class is FREE.
