This week we celebrate Leaving 2021 for 2022. Purpose of this post is to walk through uncertainty which may want to cling from past to present to future.
Individually and collectively, it helps to remember, that we’ve dealt with uncertainty before. How about if we look to one of the pre-eminent sages of our time as we consider the coming year?
You know this wise one as Emmett “Doc” Brown.
Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) called him “Doc” in the Back To The Future movie series.
Specifically at end of the final movie, Back To The Future Part III,* “Doc” (Christopher Lloyd) had dependable words for our day.
- Can’t keep a good scientist down!
- Your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has.
- Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a Good One! …
Paraphrasing the above phrases …”Doc” gave us Marching orders for this week and into 2022.
1. Depend on the scientists. Most of the time they’re right. If not, they will tell us.
2. We Aren’t Doomed.
3. Up and At ’em Toward that which Gives Us Joy. WF!
