Do you remember the phrase High Maintenance? In the dating world High Maintenance carries a price. The movie When Harry Met Sally captures its essence. (click on link for video. Skip commercial.)
Today you and I choose High Maintenance habits. Along with Sally…we want it the way we want it.
For our purposes wanting it means eating nutrient dense foods – rich in vitamins, minerals, lean proteins and complex carbohydrates and low in calories. We also want “energy-expensive” exercise.1 Expensive translates to more intense movement, as simple as picking up the pace of our walk, thus burning more calories in less time.
High Maintenance health = worth the price. WF!
- Term “Energy-expensive” from the book Smarter Workouts by Pete McCall. p. 36.
