We enjoyed a Housewarming for my new Seal Beach, CA, home yesterday afternoon.
In downsizing for the move from San Diego, I almost had given away my Mother’s good china. Dad gave her the Homer-Laughlin 22k gold set for their 10th wedding anniversary in 1950. My sister and I would cheer when the “George Washington” plates came out for special occasions.
Returning to yesterday’s Housewarming…our conversation was rich with stories old and new – while the heritage china sat in silent witness of love handed down. WF!
