APRIL CELEBRATIONS

We made it to April. This month contains so many formal and informal days for celebrating health, wellness and quirky items that I borrowed a Google image, shown below, which features the many days to which we can look forward.

One thing to celebrate this month is Appreciating Others, which can be found in Ten Tips for a Happy Healthy Life.

Related to Appreciating Others is Blue Zones longevity research by Dan Buettner on five communities which have the longest lived, vibrant nonagenarian (people between ages 90 and 99) and centenarian populations.

Social Connectedness is one of the Nine features contributing to healthy longevity in Blue Zones demographic research.

Fast forward and narrowing down to our own health-loving tribe is the appreciation participants have for each other at the Friday morning, 9:30 Zoom Zumba Gold® Class.

We started the class during COVID-19 with an eye to benefitting from dance fitness. Who knew then what a heart-warming socially connected support group we would become? (You are welcome to join us!)

Today we April Celebrate one of our very accomplished Zumba Gold® class attendees, Nere Lartitegui, PhD, who is celebrating her book launch on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.at the La Jolla Riford Library, 7555 Draper Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037.

Our good friend, Nere’s, the Missing Peace Book, is a wonderful nod to finding, realizing and sharing her own Peace.

Timing of the book launch is especially appropriate during April, which contains socially connected days from a variety of faith communities.

If you live in the San Diego area and would like to attend the The Missing Peace book launch, please notify Nere at nerelart@gmail.com.

Otherwise, please check out today’s April Calendar graphic. Pick a day, let us know, and we will celebrate with you in Spirit. WF!
