LOVE ME TENDER

During last Tuesday’s Zoom Zumba Gold® class, the ladies and I were laughing about body parts and realized how much we needed to love every muscle, organ and bone with tenderness and affection.

Book Written by Lani Miller and Diane Rodgers. Published January, 1980.

Merriam-Webster’s online dictionary defines tender as marked by, responding to, or expressing the softer emotions – a tender lover or showing care, such as having a tender regard for someone or something.

Being tender to self includes life affirming eating and moving the body with moderately challenging cardio, strength and flexibility exercise. We also want to share our best self with others, having a gentle, joyful spirit with them and ourselves.
Including laughter sparks up tenderness as well.

Sometimes human expression defies language. Let’s leave it to a youthful Elvis Presley to show us how (click on) Love Me Tender looks and feels.

Happy October. WF!
