STYMIED

I was 25% up the side of a beginner’s rock climbing hill in 1981 and could not pull myself an inch higher.
Defeated, blocked – STYMIED by not enough strength – I scrambled to the side path and walked, dejected, up the easy grade to the top.

Consoling me afterward the climbing guide said…”You need to get stronger. Go to the gym and work on your forearms and lats*”
That directive led to today’s, four-decades later, fitness blog post and the now super obvious lesson that on the other side of any vexing obstacle may be a life beyond our wildest dreams. WF!


*Lats = Latissimus dorsi. Latin for broadest muscle of the back. Attached in part to the arms. Aids in pulling us up. Contributes to the “V” shape of the torso.

Also in September is our mini Intro-A-Friend-to-Zumba contest. The member who brings the most new people to class during month of September will win a cool Zumba® Fitness shirt.
Remember any of you can register for classes through go.gymgo.com/truetomybody. I email the Zoom log-in code to all Gymgo members on class day.  We laugh, dance and have a great time wondering what tech surprise is coming next.
