SERVICE – Vitality Tip #66

As many of you know, Martin Luther King, Jr Day has been called a National Day of Service, with volunteer events happening around the country.

Research shows, that volunteering increases health, particularly for those over age 60. However, a Harvard University blog indicates that volunteering as a contributor to longevity must be done with the recipient’s benefit in mind – and not because it makes us feel good. Throughout the year, then, let us serve our charities, churches, civic organizations and communities with a cheerful1 and selfless heart. WF!
