Welcome! I’m so glad you found TrueToMyBody. If you have started to experience physical twinges, dings and dents that hamper you from enjoying physical activities like you used to, you have discovered the right website at the right time.
Everywhere we turn, publications and the media tell us that we must exercise once we have crossed Fifty. We are warned that without structured fitness programs our joints will rust, bones crumble and bodies deteriorate due to age-related muscle loss (called sarcopenia.)
While the above statement may be true, one problem is in knowing how to exercise in a way that is enjoyable, safe and challenging to your physiology – such that you renew strength, ease of movement and the free flow of life energy. The second problem lies in finding a Certified Fitness Trainer who understands how you feel when arthritis or rotator cuff injuries restrict movement or cause pain.
One of my age 70+ personal training clients would chuckle with delight that she had found a solution to both problems mentioned above:
(1) I had the education and experience to help her attain desired results and (2) I was her age, not in my ’30s or ’40s, and could relate to the wear and tear in her knee!
